Welcome to the new Square America!! It's actually exactly the same as the old Square America except for this front page- all the links to shows have moved to a much more organized Gallery page. For those of you unfamiliar with The Archive it's a searchable database that will eventually hold tagged versions of all the photos on the site (though it's a long way from complete and I probably won't be able to get caught up until sometime next year). For those of you who miss the old front page (and the links to a few shows that won't make the switch over here because I can't stand them) you can find the old page here. This front page will just have links to the two or three most recent shows as well as updates when I've dumped a bunch of new photos into the Archive or posted something super awesome to the blog. And speaking of super-awesome...
Square America is proud to present This is My Country: An Epic Survey, Rendered In Photographs, Home Movies, Audio Recordings, And Other Ephemera, Of Everyday Life In These United States And Of The Ways And Customs Of The American People c.1900-c.1976 (A Work In Progress)!! Clicking here will take you to a very tenative table of contents with links to over 40 new slideshows (and a few that may be familiar to long-time viewers)!! While it's a quixotic project that will probably never be finished, I should have another 80-100 slideshows posted in the next month or so- I've been posting links to new slideshows as I finish them via Facebook & Twitter. I'm adding new stuff almost daily (so much new content, in fact, that it'd just overwhelm this spiffy new front page- so hop on facebook or twitter to check them out).
