(Part 3: The Clippings)
The box that contained the photos and the letters also contained hundreds of articles clipped out of newspapers from the 50s through the early 70s. While he did clip out many photos of actresses-- Jane Fonda and Liz Taylor were favorites-- the majority of the clippings were articles on spanking, primarily from advice columns such as Ann Landers. I've scanned several of the articles here-- not just to demonstrate his obsession but because they're a fascinating record of the cultural mores of the time vis a vis spanking and give invaluable context to both the letters and the photos. Once again, thanks to Keith Sadler for allowing me to post these.
